About Portal Cedar Field
Our history, team, and approach to offline wallet recordkeeping for conservative holders in Korea.
Registered Business
Portal Cedar Field Co., Ltd. operates from Office 10, 64 Sample-ro, Jeonju 00000, Republic of Korea. We were established in 2019 to address a gap we observed among long-hold cryptocurrency owners: excellent security practices for acquisition, but almost no structured recordkeeping for preservation.
Our Origin
Founder Kim Seong-jin spent a decade in commercial banking before transitioning to independent advisory work focused on documentation rather than trading. In 2018, a colleague lost track of two hardware wallets after a home renovation — not through theft, but through absent-minded relocation. The devices were eventually found, but the months of uncertainty prompted Kim to ask whether other conservative holders faced the same silent risk.
Portal Cedar Field opened in Jeonju the following year, choosing a city with lower operating costs and convenient access for clients travelling from Seoul, Daejeon, and the Honam region.
What We Do
We help clients maintain private, offline records of cold storage holdings. Our work is session-based: inventory documentation, annual ledger reviews, and heir planning. We do not custody assets, manage portfolios, or execute transactions.
Our Team
Kim Seong-jin — Managing Director. Former branch operations manager at a regional bank. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/A). Leads inventory sessions and heir documentation.
Lee Hae-won — Senior Recordkeeper. Archives and records management background from Jeonbuk National University library sciences programme. Prepares bound ledgers and verification checklists.
Choi Min-ji — Client Coordinator. Handles scheduling, pre-session questionnaires, and document delivery logistics.
Working Approach
Every session begins with a clear boundary: we document structure, not secrets. Clients retain full control of their keys and phrases. Our ledgers stay with the client — we keep no copies unless explicitly requested for secure archival storage.
We favour paper and local PDF delivery over cloud storage. Sessions are conducted in a private meeting room with no recording devices. Remote sessions use encrypted video with screen-sharing disabled.
Values
Accuracy over speed. A thorough inventory takes time. We do not rush sessions to fit arbitrary time slots.
Privacy by design. Minimum data collection, no third-party analytics on client documents, and transparent handling described in our Privacy Policy.
Plain language. Heir documents and ledgers should be readable by a careful non-specialist, not only by the original holder.
Community
We contribute articles to our Journal on preservation practices and speak occasionally at local financial literacy workshops in Jeonju — always emphasising documentation, never promoting specific assets or trading strategies.
